Dirigent Acoustics at EU Opportunity Week 2024

• System for detection, localization, tracking and recognition of acoustic events at distances of up to 20 km - a solution that pushes the boundaries in acoustics (part of the Horizon2020 BorderUAS project no. 883272); and
• System for automated field measurement of sound insulation and reflection for noise protection barriers.

As we continue to push boundaries, there are many more amazing innovations ahead of us!

Proud to have been a lecturer at the 4th GrInShield Twinning Project Workshop

Over three incredible days, scientists from Serbia, France, Germany, and other EU countries came together to showcase groundbreaking research in nanotechnology. Experts from fields such as chemistry, physics, material science, medicine, ecology, and acoustics shared their latest innovations in nanomaterials. This event, organized by the Vinca Institute of Nuclear Sciences and the GrInShield Twinning Project partners, far exceeded my expectations.

The workshop was a hub of brilliant minds and young, eager researchers and students, all driven by a thirst for knowledge. It was an absolute pleasure to meet new colleagues and discuss future collaborations in multidisciplinary research.

Special thanks to our gracious host, project coordinator Svetlana Jovanovic and her dynamic team for their meticulous attention to detail.

I am particularly proud of the engagement during my lecture, “Advancements in Acoustic Technology: The Role of Graphene Membranes,” where I shared my decade-long journey through the fascinating world of acoustics and nanotechnology. This journey has been enriched by my fellow scientists Marko Spasenović, Iva Salom, Marijana M., and Aleksandar Matkovic, as well as my closest associates at Dirigent Acoustics, Mirjana Mihajlovic, and Milica Raickovic.

We were honored to have François-Xavier KOWANDY, Science Attaché of the French Embassy in Belgrade, attend the opening lectures.

Expanding the Sophisticated Audio System at RTV Slovenija

Previously installed, the 48-fader AVATUS in Studio 4 flawlessly handled the audio for the world’s top sports events. Now, with the addition of its bigger sibling, the NEXUS network has expanded to include 8 Base Devices (BD), ensuring all inputs and outputs are accessible across both studios. Each BD is equipped with a variety of audio, control, and logic interfaces, from high-quality analogue inputs and outputs, including state-of-the-art clipping-proof 32-bit microphone inputs, to AoIP AES67 and DANTE IOs.

It was again a great pleasure for our on-site engineering team to collaborate with the RTV team, Miha Bukovec and Metod Komatar.

Inspirational Visit to the New Knauf Insulation Acoustic Testing Laboratory

During our visit, we had the opportunity to meet with teams from Knauf Montenegro - Iva Kopitović and Čedomir Milutinović, and Knauf Insulation Srbija - Jovana Arsić and Goran Prolic. Together with Maro and his team, we engaged in discussions on the latest advancements in sound insulation and its implementation in KSI (Knauf Sound Insulation software, developed by Dirigent Acoustics and financed by regional Knauf members in Serbia, Montenegro, and Bulgaria).

Our discussions were both inspirational and fruitful, leading to the scheduling of user training sessions in Montenegro this September.

During the final review meeting, Dejan Todorović showcased the development, capabilities, and field tests of this innovative far-field acoustic detection system. This game-changing technology was developed in collaboration with Iva Salom of Institute Mihailo Pupin.

Our acoustic system demonstrates immense potential across various applications, including perimeter security, detection, localization, and classification of acoustic events at long distances such as speech, drones, wildlife, and more.

We are proud to be at the forefront of advancing acoustic technology for a safer, more sustainable, and secure future with care and respect for wildlife.

Strategic Noise Mapping and Action Plans for the City of Belgrade

Using the harmonized CNOSSOS method, our expert engineering team, led by the talented Milica Raickovic, is ready to dive into the data and start building the largest model we’ve ever created in SoundPLAN.
